1 Definition. Der bifaszikuläre Block ist eine Form des Schenkelblocks, bei dem die Erregungsleitung des Herzens in zwei der drei Faszikel distal des His-Bündels gestört ist. Bei einer Blockierung eines Tawaraschenkels kommt es im EKG zum Typischen Bild eines Schenkelblocks. Im EKG zeigt sich eine Verbreiterung des QRS-Komplexes (≥ 120 msek; i.d.R ≥ 140-160 msek) Der QRS-Komplex ist deformiert. Es kommt zu einer sog. M-Konfiguration mit deutlicher Verspätung des Oberen Umschlagpunktes (OUP).

Der komplette Schenkelblock ist eine Verlangsamung der Leitfähigkeit der betroffenen Seite von mindestens 0,12 Sek., während der inkomplette Schenkelblock eine Verspätung zwischen 0,10 und 0,12 Sek. hat.
